Yard Waste

‍Groot will provide weekly yard waste collection for all single family residents from April 1st through November 30th each year. Unlimited Kraft paper yard bags or 35 gallon containers (under 50 pounds) will be collected that have a yard waste sticker affixed to each container. Place the containers so the sticker faces the curb. Containers/bags without stickers will not be emptied. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be accepted. You may also contact Groot to obtain a yard waste container decal to further distinguish your yard waste container from your other refuse containers.

Bulky/Oversized Items

‍Every week, each residence may place up to (1) one bulk item (i.e. sofa, chair, table, etc.) out for collection at no extra charge. Bulk items will be collected on regularly scheduled collection days.

Appliances

‍There is an additional fee per appliance and must be scheduled for pick up 24 hours in advance. Please call Groot for more details.

Construction Debris

‍Two rolls of carpet or 2 – 35 gal containers or equivalent is included. Anything over is an additional fee per yard and must be contained properly.

Special Pick-Up & Temporary Containers

‍Leaves must be in a 35-gallon brown yard waste bag, a 35-gallon metal container, or a 35-gallon rigid plastic container; and a yard waste disposal sticker must be attached to each bag or container.

Christmas trees will be collected the first two weeks in January at no charge

Electronic Waste Collection - "e-waste"

There is now FREE electronics recycling. Residents can dispose of two electronic waste items (including televisions up to 50 pounds) at no additional cost. You will be required to contact Groot and schedule collection at least 24 hours in advance of your designated service day. Televisions over 50 pounds may be charged an additional charge of $50.00 per unit.
