Pick up will start no earlier than 6 AM. We ask that all residents have cans out by 6am the day of service. For service days please see the calendar of service days.

Two items per week are included with service. One appliance per week is included but it must be scheduled in advance.

Listed below are accepted items with your household garbage collection. For more details, you can refer to the City of Naperville website.

  • White Goods
  • Large Items - two bulk items (not appliances or oversized/overweight items) my be discarded per weeks ome text
    • Bulk items include boxes, barrels, crates, furniture and similar items that do not fit into a proper container and can be collected/lifted by one driver without assistance.
    • Exceptions include items which are banned from direct disposal into a landfill, such as appliances, tires, car batteries, televisions and electronic waste.
  • Paint
    • Paint must have the lids of the container and dried out before it can be taken in the Truck.

Construction Debris

  • Limited quantities of remodeling and construction materials (rolled carpeting, bathroom fixtures, cabinets, wood or drywall) will be collected weekly at no additional charge. All material must be cut to no more than 4 feet in length and 2 feet in diameter and weigh no more than 60 pounds.
  • A maximum of two 32-gallon cans, two bundles, two rolls or any combination of each for a maximum of two units may be discarded each week.
  • Two 32 gallon carts, 2 rolls of carpet or any combination is included with service. Weight limit is 60 lbs.

Sustainable Food Waste Management Solutions

Yard Waste Information

Yard Waste collection runs from the 3rd week of March until the 2nd week of December.
Yard Waste will require a sticker on each biodegradable bag.

  • During the month of November, Yard Waste will be picked up without stickers and free to the residents.
  • Food waste may be added to Yard Waste & it will only be picked up during Yard Waste season.
  • Brush must be bundled & stickered at all times.

The weekly yard waste collection program runs from mid-March to mid-December each year.

Groot offers two options for Residential Yard Waste collection for Naperville residents.

- 95 gallon Yard Waste cart
- Stickers for residential containers of yard waste as needed.

Containers should be 32-gallon paper yard waste bags or a clearly labeled 32-gallon can.

Groot provides curbside collection of e-waste items that have been prepaid and scheduled 48 hours in advance of your regularly scheduled service day.
